I'm diggin' this one. Big Boi, J. Cole, Murs , Wiz, Snoop, Nas, Saigon, etc. Nothing else to say but enjoy!
"The Mainstream is weak, the underground ain't dope no more!" Hip Hop is a surplus nowadays. So much music coming out... yet more than half of it will not be remembered. This site is dedicated to search through all Hip Hop and bring what we feel is the good stuff today. This isn't a website committed to bring you commercial rap or underground; this is strictly for the Hip Hop Heads. No bias regardless of popularity or abstractness. "Dope beats, Dope Rhymes, what more do ya'll want!"

February Mix
I'm diggin' this one. Big Boi, J. Cole, Murs , Wiz, Snoop, Nas, Saigon, etc. Nothing else to say but enjoy!
Pusha T - My God
Pusha T's (of Clipse) anticipated single for his up and coming mixtape, Fear of God. This track actually stirred up some controversy between him and Consequence. Don't really know if I agree with Cons on calling out his own G.O.O.D. teammate. Anyways, "My God" is definitely a worthy single.
OverDoz - Live For, Die For (Album)
I downloaded this free album earlier this month and it slowly, but surely, grew on me. By far the best project to come out this month. Overdoz is a south central (LA) trio who's style is unlike anything thats come out recently. They got that west coast G-funk feel and the mixtape features artists such as Kendrick, Dom Kennedy, and Skeme. Definitely looking forward to seeing some more Overdoz. HHS Certified!
Lupe Fiasco is Not Real Happy With Album
Ha! I called it... Poor Lupe doesn't feel great about his album which drops next month. His hit single "The Show Goes On" was pushed onto him by his label in order to reach the masses. It's sad that an artist this great is forced to put out work that he's not even a fan of. Fuck the mainstream if that's where these white guys in suites are going to take it. Record labels need to stop getting in the way of Emcees making true classic hip hop albums (not that Trill OG BS).

Kidz In the Hall - The Brain Candy Series
Kidz In The Hall, just like all the other groups/rappers, has started a weekly series. The call it the "Brain Candy Series". It's been going on for about a month now and I just thought I should give y'all the update.
Atmosphere - Just For Show
Yup... Our favorite underground duo from back in the day will be dropping another album this year. The Family Sign comes out April 12th. Unfortunately this one isn't given free online so all we can do for now is preview the track.

2011 XXL Freshman
This year's XXL Freshman consists of Big K.R.I.T., CyHi Da Prynce, Diggy Simmons, Fred the Godson, Kendrick Lamar, Lil B, Lil Twist, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, YG and Yelawolf. Pretty damn disappointing... There's only a few on this year's list who actually deserve the recognition and career boost. To Phil Ade, XV, and TiRon: there's always next year.

Must Have Music: Kendrick Lamar - Opposites Attract (Tomorrow Without Her) (feat. Javonte)
I usually go with older and rare songs with these posts, but since I have been bumping Kendrick Lamar lately like no one's business, I thought I'd chose one of his songs thats on repeat for me. Kendrick doesn't "make black music and he doesn't make white music; he makes everyday life music". In this song, he takes the roll of the abusive boy friend who disrespects his girl friend and for some reason cannot fall for the girl who gives him everything. He then switches rolls and tells the story through the girls side who can't understand the nature of her asshole boyfriend. Hence the song title: Opposites Attract.
Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said
This track is way overdue. Lupe Fiasco spits some shit he should have never spit if he ever wants to get on good terms with his label. Fuck the system! Lasers hits the shelves next month.
Spree Wilson - Transition f. Novel
This has to be the first song from Spree Wilson that I have ever liked. I heard about the rapper over a year ago but was never too impressed with his work. I love how the song starts off, but as it goes on I start to pick it apart. I don’t start to dislike the song, there’s just several things I feel could be different. But enough with the negative feedback; Spree Wilson has proven to me he’s got a shot in Hip Hop.
Fashawn - Higher Learning 2 (Mixtape)
Fashawn's 10th mixtape! The young emcee is putting in work but I don't know if I prefer quantity over quality. I feel a second studio album is overdue for the freshman. Enough with these shitty sounding mixtapes. But don't get me wrong, still a decent mixtape.
Scienze - Hall Pass
Just another ill track. Don’t know much about the rapper but I’m diggin this single. We’ll see what the future holds for Scienze. Off his soon to be released, updated mixtape, Hall Pass.
The Brothers of Chico Dusty: Big Boi & The Black Keys Mash-up
Put together a classic alternative rock band with a classic Hip Hop emcee and what to do you get? The Brothers of Chico Dusty: Big Boi & The Black Keys Mash-up. Props to my blood brotha’ for the spot on this one.
